how good is CU with giving out scholarships?
im an out of state student who really wants to go here but cant without some kind of aid :/

CU gives some scholarships to out of state students but not that much. They have Chancellor Scholarships for the top 25 percent of out of state students, but this is only $15000 over four years. They also offer Presidential Scholarships to the top 1-2 percent of out of state students and this is quite a lot, $55,000 over four years. My son was hoping for the Presidential but all he got offered was the Chancellor’s… You can also apply for Norlin Scholars and if accepted that is another $3,000 per year.

what kind of stats do you usually have to have to get the Chancellor scholarship? I’m considering applying but it’s pretty expensive out of state.

All out of state students are automatically considered for those scholarships, no application is necessary. What kind of stats? Well, it kind of depends on who else is applying your year, but my son had a 4.22 GPA (adjusted) had a 31 ACT, and was 10/505 in his high school class, and all he got was the Chancellor’s scholarship. So, it is very hard to get the Presidential scholarhship.

thank you, but it looks like I have no shot at either.
