Score Choice and SAT IIS USC

Hi! I'm applying to USC and I don't know whether or not to submit both of my SAT II scores. I got a 730 on history and a 620 on English. Neither score is terrible, but there is a significant difference between the two and a 620 is slightly lower than any score I recieved on a section of the SAT I, so I wouldn't submit my English score if I could do so without it showing that I used "score choice." Will that show? I'm guessing admissions will find out after I submit my scores, which aren't due until Feb 15. I'm afraid to use score choice because universities might think that I'm hiding a terrible score. What do you recommend I do? Thanks so much!!!

My first question is, are you applying for scholarship consideration? If you are, your scores are due December 1st, not February 15th. If you do not wish to be considered for scholarships, February 15th is fine.

USC prefers that you do not use score choice, but they have no official policy against it. This is the first year for score choice, so I do not know if they will be able to tell you used it.

thank you so much! I was not aware that I needed to send my scores by December 1st!

Don’t panic, you can get them there on time. Send your official scores through College Board (normal delivery is fine), and then use Form 5, SAT/ACT Student Report to FAX in your scores. Fill out the form and either photocopy your student score report or print out a copy of your online unoffical scores and FAX it with Form 5 to USC admissions. They will use your unofficial scores to consider your application for scholarships and verify when the official scores arrive.

Good luck!
