Score Choice/Sending Scores

STANFORD UNIVERSITY has indicated that it considers all SAT scores in its review process and requires that you submit all SAT scores from all test dates.

Regarding that message, I was wondering if I only wanted to send my subject tests, does Stanford still require me to send my SAT I scores? I'm planning to send in ACT/SAT II scores only-but it seems I have to send in SAT I as well?
Help?

Sounds like you need to send everything, including SAT I. But if the website isn’t clear on this, contact the admissions office to find out. Not like it’s a big deal if you end up needing to send your SAT I scores, though.

I don’t believe you have the choice. If you get your scores sent from Collegeboard and Stanford requires all the scores - then Collegeboard will send all of the scores. It is not up to you. It’s only the schools that are allowing you to choose that Collegeboard will allow you to choose which scores to send.

How bout SAT II’s? I have 2 good scores I want to send, but 3 others that are not as good, two of which I am retaking in October. Do I have to choice to let Stanford only consider the top 2-3 scores?

Yep.

[Testing Requirements : Stanford University](http://www.stanford.edu/dept/uga/application/freshman/testing.html)

But technically SAT IIs are SAT Is.
I want to send in SAT IIs and don’t want the SAT I to be considered at all because I will be using the ACT. I don’t think this is hiding because I’m not sending in any SAT I scores for consideration therefore they wont see the best or the worst.

And when you send scores, the two sections are separate.

On the side note-
How much does a bad SAT affect you if you have a good ACT? I did not study for the SAT and did mediocre on it.

Huh?

I would still contact the admissions office about this. If you’re right, no problem. If you’re wrong, you won’t break Stanford’s SAT policy. It’s a win-win.

What does it mean to you to do “mediocre?” But in either case, colleges look at your highest scores. This is made very clear from the link I posted above:

Also please look at the score choice rules - I think that what is sent is by the testing date - so if you have taken two SAT II’s at one sitting - both of those scores would go, even if you did bad on one and not the other.
