So I have taken two SAT Reasoning Tests and two SAT subject tests. However, I don't want to send in my Reasoning Tests and just want to send in the two subject tests. I've heard that CMU doesn't do score choice, so that means if I've taken any SAT I's, I'm required to send them in. I sent in all my ACT scores already, so I figured that they wouldn't need to see my SAT Reasoning test scores.

Also, I emailed the undergraduate admissions, but I'm not sure if they understood my question.

"Thanks for your email to the Carnegie Mellon University Office of Undergraduate Admission.

You may submit EITHER your SAT I scores or ACT scores. If you choose to submit your ACT scores to us make sure you submit all of the scores.

Best regards from Carnegie Mellon's Office of Undergraduate Admission."

Hope someone can shed some light on this very confused and stressed out senior. Thanks!

The email is clear: you don’t have to submit your SAT I scores if you submit your ACT scores. Whichever one you submit, you must submit every sitting for that test, if it’s more than once. Hope that helps and good luck

“I have sent in all my ACT scores. However, on SAT’s website it says that Carnegie Mellon does not use score choice and indicates that it requires all SAT scores be sent. If I’m sending in my SAT II Scores, doesn’t that mean I have to send in my SAT I scores as well? Sorry for the inconvenience, thanks again!”

And this is their response:

"Yes, you must send in ALL of your SAT I and SAT II scores. For the general SAT, we will superscore all of your SAT scores for you.

Best regards from Carnegie Mellon’s Office of Undergraduate Admission."

So you do have to send in your SAT 1 scores if you’ve taken any :/
