Score Choice

Hey everybody, I know Carnegie Mellon doesn't allow score choice and also that for SCS you have to submit 2 subject tests. I dont want to send in my SAT I scores, so am I allowed to send in my Subject Tests and Hide all sitting from SAT I?(im submitting act).

I submitted only my SAT subject tests and ACT-- but I didn’t take the SAT reasoning test, so slightly different issue than the question you are asking.

I think this was asked by someone else just a week ago and one of the moms that posts here regularly had something to say about it-- sorry, i cannot find the thread for you. It’s here somewhere.

Logically-- the rules say take SAT or ACT. But it also says must send all scores. But if you elect to use the ACT over the SAT, you would think you’re good to ignore them in the report. The problem is it will show as a hidden score once you send the SAT subject tests. Why not send an email to admissions and say just that and see what they say? You don’t want to get dinged for hiding a score-- but it does say- your choice-- act or sat.

AH-- i just asked my roommate-- he also just sent just his ACT and SAT subject tests alone – but like me he never took an SAT either.
Sorry . Good luck!

(How bad are the SAT scores? I’m mean if there’s decent ACTs anyways and the sat isn’t really a disaster (like in less than 650 ) no harm done?)
