I've taken the ACT a few times, and unfortunately scored my highest cumulative at a date when I didn't take the writing portion (dumb decision, I know). I did repeat my composite score, however, with the writing section, but with lower sub-sections. Should I just send the ACT+writing (since the composites are the same) or will colleges acknowledge that my non-writing ACT had higher subsections?

I hate the science section.

What do you think, should I spend the extra 10 and send 'em both?

They probably look at the higher composite score and use that. If they're the same, they won't bother and will probably just use the score itself without superscoring.

hmmm
if you send them a score that doesn't include writing section when the college in question requires a writing section, I'm not sure they'll take those (the test date without writing) into consideration...but then, that's just my guess
good luck
