This was my first go-around with the ACT, and I took it basically cold. Bad idea.</p>
<p>Well, I did comparatively well on everything....except science haha (not BAD, just way lower than my other sections)</p>
<p>So, question: is the ACT like the SAT at all, in that some colleges disregard certain sections, or care more about the M+CR sections than others, etc.?</p>
<p>Pretty sure I've read that the composite is considered wholly. When you look at statistics, they don't break down the ACT's section like the SAT. I'd say they don't regard each section.</p>
<p>I agree. On my college visits most schools just looked at the composite. They said it was too hard to superscore. I think it is probably due to the breakout of the English and Reading. Wish they would superscore though!</p>
