Score interpreting for SSAT

Hey
I am a 9th grader
and I was wondering how many you basically have to get wrong
in Reading, Verbal and Maths to get over 90%
Or does anyone know how many we have to get wrong to get to get over at least 80%
Thanks

it depends on a lot of things. every test, the difficulty of the verbal/math/reading alters a little. your percentile comes from where you stand compared to other people. so there's a possibilty that someone would get 12 wrong but still get 94 percentile for one test, while they get 8 wrong with an 89 percentile.

Like x.sunny said, it really depends. But so you get a feel:

In Verbal, I got 9 wrong and omitted 8, but still managed a 94% overall.
In Math, I got 2 wrong, managing a 99%
In Reading, I 2 wrong with 97%

Keep in mind they only match you against people of the same gender and grade.

thanks
But are you a ninth grader?

No, so your scores might be a bit different, but somebody correct me if I'm wrong - what grade you are in doesn't really effect your score that much. It's all ballpark ranges anyway..

alexthecheesypoo i loveee somewhere only we know haha it's a good song (:

I'm a 9th grade male and I got 4 wrong on the verbal, so a raw score of 55, which was a 800 perfect score (there's a curve scoring) and 99 percentile.

so... i got 1 wrong on reading, and it dropped my score from an 800 to 764. Still 99th percentile, but it bugs me...

Same here. I got 2 wrong on reading, and it dropped me to 735 at 97%... people must do really well in reading!

Gah! I love Keane!

I think it's just because there aren't alot of questions in reading, but not really sure.
