<p>ASSIGNMENT:Do you think that courage is common in most of us??</p>
<p>When most people think about courage,they think about individuals that commited heroic deeds and put others before themselves.However,courage is not just the big things such as saving a human's life from a burning building or acting courageously on the war.Most people will not even encounter such a situation in their lifetimes in order to understand whether they are ''heroes'' or not.On the other hand most people have an opportunity to show courage in everyday life.</p>
<p>For many years scientists have been recording and studying teenager's behaviors.They have all concluded that teenagers tend to imitate the behavior of others around them in order to get accepted.In that process the often compromise and follow the crowd.Therefore a courageous act would be not following the crowd but rather what one's personality and conciense suggests.We have all faced situations as iteenagers in which a little guy was being intimitated by the school bullies.Standing up and helping him get out of the situation would be a truly heroic act.Or even answer a question in class when no one seems to know the answer.Most of us would avoid doing so because we would not want to appear stupid in our friends eyes.</p>
<p>Another testament to this thesis comes from my personal experience.A few years ago my brother was accepted in a university in Endland.But he had to make an mportant decision;go to England or stay in Greece with my mother and me.He choose to stay with us even though he was always dreamed abuot studyind abroad.</p>
<p>While these are only two examples they are indicative of the general truth;namely that we courage is common in most of us.It is in our hand to show courage in everyday life by small decisions that we take which can often be more ''heroic'' than rescuing someone from an accident.</p>
