I checked my SAT1 score this morning and it says NOT YET AVAILABLE. All my friends got their scores back, including kids who were in the same test room. I immediately called the College Board and they said that my score jumped high compared to the last SAT1 Id taken, so my test in under investigation. my old score was 1440. However, im expecting 2300 above this time. Id been getting chemotherapy during when i took the last SAT. Well, i dont thing there is a human being who can score 1500 above under chemo. Is there anyone who had same issue? (except the chemo part) who got delayed score? I didnt cheat, I didnt know ppl in the room, cuz i was new to the school.

please tell me what u think.

if u had same score delaying problem, (NOT YET AVAILABLE), tell me what happened?

if u have information aboujt ETS's test reviewing process, please let me kno!!

thanks you for reading and hoping a good solution

So good to see someone asking this question!

My problems are the same as yours. My last time’s scores are TERRIBLE.
But the thing is, I called collegeboard too, but they didn’t directly tell me why my scores are delayed. Instead, they told me to wait and they told me “Your scores are taking longer to report because your answer sheet is going through our exception scoring process. We have forwarded your request to the proper department. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for a response.”

This is so weird. I’m starting to worry about my essay!

If your scores are challenged, College Board will give you the opportunity to appeal their decision. Pay attention to the timeline and follow their instructions!

OP, you can imagine why they need to hear from you on an increase from 1440 to your 2300+ predicted. That kind of increase is abnormal to the extreme. However, if you have medical records to back you up, you should be fine. Resist the temptation to exaggerate anything or play to their sympathies–stick to the facts. So sorry you have cancer–best wishes dealing with that.

pearcherliz, a lot of scores didn’t come out yesterday and are set for release Nov. 5. There are a slew of reasons why scores are withheld. Without having heard the entire conversation, I probably wouldn’t read too much into the response you were given by the CB agent who answered your call–it was clearly a scripted reply–unless you did something during the testing to give you cause to worry. Why are you singling out your essay?

TXArtemis: Thank you. I singled out my essay because I think the examples I used in my essay are pretty cliche; Although I’m 100% sure that I didn’t plagiarize, this is the only possibly explanation for the delay except for my jump score.
And, can you please tell me where you got the information that some scores may come out on the 5th?

peacherliz, gotcha on your essay. I think “cliche” must be common when you are talking about coming up with an essay response in a sterile environment with a clock running. Don’t worry about it! If you have a score increase beyond whatever “accepted norm” they live with, then you may have to deal with that.

But please don’t lose any sleep over this until you get your score or other word from CB.

In that regard, on the front page of the CB site it says Nov. 5 and then has a link to an explanation for why some scores are delayed.

guys, first of all, i think this website is amazing and thanks for replies. I have called college board and they transferred me to ETS. ETS investigates our tests.

This is their number and if you are facing the same problem, please contact them. 18007506991 - dial 5 for a operator.

They said that I will get a mail which will say that my test in under investigation. If they can’t find any substantial evidences - well I DID NOT cheat! - they will release my score. I had a friend who had the same issue and he told me that he got his score after 2 months of investigation. I genuinely hope this is not the case…

Is there anyone who had this issue? I really wanna know what will happen most likely. I studied for all summer, studied for my life. I did 4000 vocabularies and more than 13 practice tests. I was is a perfect condition for the test so if I will be asked to retake, I don’t know if I can…

This is terrible…

Please give me your informations about this issue my friends.

Thanks for providing that number and that site, Kazakh. I’ll try to call them after 8:00 am.

Like, I never expected this could happen, you know? I had never even heard of such things before. Why hadn’t anyone talked about this?

I studied so hard for this… I took prep classes, I did so much practice, I bought tons of books… This is so depressing. And I’m not in the mood studying for the test now. I mean, if they really want me to retake the test, what am I going to do? I’m 100% sure that I won’t do as well. GOSH. This is so annoying.
