I am guessing that schools who give their SAT identification codes on their website or in their literature want official results from the collegeboard, and schools who don't are okay with me just putting down my score on my application. Is that correct?
Also, I have read that it is possible to have the SAT score sent to my school, and then sent to the colleges as part of my transcript. Is it okay to do this?

If I’m not mistaken, most colleges request an official copy of your SAT scores, i.e. the one sent from Collegeboard. If the school doesn’t state if their SAT code then their website then the best thing to do would be to email them and ask if they require it. (which probably they do)

Cuz think about anyone can put down a false SAT score on their Common App, so to ensure that doesn’t happen schools request the official report from Collegeboard.

IDK about the transcript thing though. hopefully someone else post about that.
