Score Reporting Rush/Don't Rush

Got my scores today and I want to send them off! Should I use Rush reporting b/c of the Jan. 1st deadline or regular reporting?
They are all electronic applications (Cornell,Carnegie Mellon,Harvard, Stanford, Yale, UF).
Thank you so much!

Electronic reporting has more to do with the way schools receive scores then the way you send them. You can ‘rush’ scores and if the school doesn’t receive scores a certain way they are not going to get them in the 2-3 day time frame you think. They will get out of CB’s hands, but the timeline in which the school downloads them is up to the school and varys widely. Having said that, I’d rush anything at this late date. Sending them regular could take weeks.

Below is a link to an admissions blog written by a Dean of Admissions at UVa. It explains the timing of score reporting better then I ever could. Although the blog is for UVa, the information is universal and helpful in explaining the process, and time lapse involved, to any student.

The schools don’t need to receive your scores by the deadline, although you should do so as soon as possible. Often, a January 31 deadline will do, though I would advise you to send now.

Regular reporting shouldn’t take more than two weeks in the worst case. You’ll be fine.

@awesometoad, is it two business weeks ? or 15 working days ?
