Dear fellow CCers,
I have a few questions on sending scores.

Can I sign up colleges for sending ACT scores after I gt my score online Dec 19? Will colleges recieve in time? I don’t want to go ahead and sign up the colleges before I see my scores in case I didn’t do well as my previous ACTs.

University of Pennsylvania accepts ACT w/ writing OR SAT+SAT II
I did decent on ACT (33 composite) and terrible on SAT (2010), great on SAT II (2 800s, 1 750). Should I send both ACT and SAT score reports so they see my good ACT score and good SAT II scores, but bad SAT score? Or should I just send in my ACT score? And sacrafice my SAT II scores?

Usually you list the score recipients with your registration. December is the last date. And I don' know about the ACT, but for the SAT the last date was Dec 10 11:59 P.M. EST. Till this time you could edit/update the score recipients.

However, if you didn't then if you send them normally, the universities might not get it in time. But Collegeboard has an option of Rush Reports. they send it in 3-5 Business days. They charge extra for this.

my dilemma is that I want to know my ACT scores before sending them, because I don't know if I did better in December or in my previous ACT testings.

You can wait until you see your score. The delay will not be significant. Also, some schools (like certain Ivies) allow students to take the ACT/SAT in January when their admissions deadline is 1/1. Schools simply cannot sort through all the information that quickly, so a "late" score report makes no difference to them.

When I emailed colleges, most of them said they will not disregard the lower SAT/ACT verbal score, but continue to utilize both scores (Princeton, Caltech, U Penn, Stanford, Cornell..etc)
And for the second quesitn, are you sure it's ok to send them so late?
