Score reports on collegeboard, need help understanding this!

Hi, so yesterday i used my four free score reports for the schools i want to apply to. First off, i want to apply to NYU ED so i marked to send my Oct. 9 test because i was not satisfied with my first SAT in May. I also did this with Chapman University for EA. However, i got this e-mail:

Dear __________,

Thank you for your SAT Score Report request!
You have successfully ordered your score recipients for the:

SAT Test in December 2010

Sending official SAT score reports is the only way to ensure institutions
receive your scores. Also, sending scores with your registration
is the fastest way to send the scores from your December 2010

receiving your scores early as an indication of your interest.

Four SAT score reports are included free with your registration
if ordered or changed by 11:59 p.m. ET on December 13, 2010.
Any additional reports are $10.00 each.

The following colleges, universities and scholarship programs will receive your scores:

As you can see i marked the Oct. test but i guess i accidently marked the Dec. one also which won't be necessary. Now the part that confuses me is the part that says "SAT Tests in December 2010" so does that mean the scores will be sent together in December? Or do each of the tests get reported to the schools after the results come out? I'm very worried right now. I called CB and they told me that the schools receive the scores in one or two weeks! My Oct SAT comes out on the 28th and the deadline for NYU is Nov. 1! I can't do ED II because i am applying for Tisch. So, does this mean that my scores get sent each time to the schools when they come out or is it sent all together after my final December scores come out? Am i pretty much screwed for NYU ED or what? I'm very worried right now! Thanks.

You ordered reports associated with the December test. Those reports will not go out until the December test is scored, i.e., late December. The reports will be cumulative, i.e., they will include all prior tests.

(The reason your attempt went to Dec. was, the four free reports period for Oct. test ended Oct. 18.)

Obviously, for NYU and Chapman, you will need to go in and pay for reports associated with the October test. I don’t believe the site allows you to place that order until the scores are released. When you place that order, the schools will get the Oct. test results plus all prior. You need to read the website of both NYU and Chapman re: whether which test result dates they will accept. If they say they are accepting Nov. for the early admission program you are applying to and they also receive electronically (which is a once-a-week data dump the university can access), then you don’t have any worries–no need to rush the Oct. score order. If the last test date they accept is Oct., because it doesn’t come out until the 28th, then you may need to rush the report. Call the university first if they do not expressly address this issue on their website.

If you receive your decisions from NYU and Chapman in mid-December and you are deferred to regular decision for either and you want them to have your Dec. test score for the regular decision process, you can leave your current four free order “as is.” Should you decide to remove NYU and/or Chapman from that score report order and substitute other schools in their stead, just be sure you make the change in the time allowed for utilizing the four free score reports for Dec. test–per the email confirmation you received, that is 11:59 PM Eastern on December 13.
