This topic is about score verification. I have a quick question regarding it. Do you think I should use it considering I got a 1780? I feel like my test was mis-graded because I usually get 2100's on Blue Book Tests (self timed and everything).

My scores are usually as follows:
Math 740
Writing 750
CR- 620

But I got...
Math : 670 (I feel this score is correct because I got 2 gridins wrong and skipped 3 questions).
Writing: 560 (I could swear I knew all of the answers, not trying to be arrogant but, they definitely miss graded.)
CR - 550 (I thought I did better on this because I knew all of the vocab and understood the passages).

The day after the test, I came home and compared my answers with the top scorers of this test...I got all of the answers they got for writing (I skipped 3 because time ran out). And I got 15 wrong on CR when compared to the compiled list the members created.

I feel like my scores should have been atleast
Writing 700
Math 670 *
CR 600-620

I would really appreciate your comments. I studied 8-9 months for this test and learned it like the back of my hand. Oh, before I forget, will CB even re-grade my test of would they just "pretend" they did? I would also like to know if they would give me points if i messed up putting in the answers for MC (erase marks, alillte pencil marks on the side, the light gray created when your pencil starts to turn dull but you still push the pencil hard on the test).

I’m sorry, I can’t offer any advice! I am also interested in the same thing. I usually get over 2000 in the practice tests, but CB surprised me with a 1870 :
And where I usually get 700+in writing, I got a 570 with an 8 essay. The essay grade is what I expected, I didn’t feel strongly about it, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t get 20 something questions wrong!

The same is for me. I usually only made 2 to 3 mistakes in my WR section. But this time I made a total of 8, though essay was 12.
Maybe you can decide whether you really want a score verification after you have checked your detailed analysis.

I feel the same way. I got a 1980 (CR: 640, W: 700, M:640) in March without studying. I actually studied this time and did pretty well on practice tests and dropped to a 1920 (CR: 620, W: 630, M: 670). I could have sworn that I got at least a 2100 when I finished taking the test. I ordered the Question-and-Answer service last night though and then I will order my answer sheet after that to see.

RE-scoring is only a good idea if all of your sections are severely off from what you think you did: (i.e. the score sheet was misaligned or something while scanning). Especially if you think you got a correct score on one of the subjects, then it is highly improbable that there was an error (it’s all the same sheet).

Otherwise, you may have just had a bad morning and should work for the next test.

LMAO I had almost the same score as u 1790…680 on math (some of the stupidest questions ever like that one with the rectangular prism) 560 on cr I cried, i thought i got all the vocab right :/…550 on CW 8 on essay (I got ■■■■■■■ by the sat writers)

@ The Forbes: I believe that the Math score was somewhat harshly curved. I did feel 700-690 was my score but 670 seems close enough. It could be that I erased the balls out my scantron or that my pencil was dulled out. My writing score is definitely not at a 560 level because I got that score when I took the PSAT not knowing squat about the test. At minimum, I would have gotten at least a 650 (If I had a bad day). I did not hesitate much on the test, the grammatical errors were very basic and I got them almost instantaneously. I doubt I got 20 wrong unless I just filled the wrong bubbles.

@ iluvcaliii06: I feel the same way. I thought my minimum score was at least a 1950. My scores are not even close to my true scoring range. I felt that was the best CR I did and I believe I did answer all of the vocab right. I compared my answers to other members of this forum and got the same darn thing. I believe they did indeed miss mark my test. I worked too hard… I know I didn’t get such an average score (not trying to belittle anyone).

By the way iluvcaliii06, don’t your answers come with the QAS or do you have to pay for that separately?

omg wolf I am in almost the same situation as you. I usually get 2000-2100s in my Practice tests, but in the end got: 680 CR 670 M and 590 W. (8 essay)

My maths score is the saem as yours and Collegeboard also said I missed 20 whole W questions!

I think my CR ad M are ok, but I strongly feel like some kind of mistake went into my writing, especially since I do well in that section in my PT’s. Also did not feel like I got 20 wrong. The last time I did it was my first ever practice test.

Yeah, that’s weird because I feel my writing score is off too. I got an 1870 with a 670 writing, 12 essay. On practice tests, I consistently scored 700+ on writing AND with a self-assigned score of only 10 on the essay.
Something’s up haha

well, they’d better god damn figure it out right already, cause they’re screwing up my future big time. I’m POSITIVE I didn’t miss 23 writing questions. That’s empirically impossible, as I always scored high on that section and I didn’t feel uneasy about it during the test. And like wolf said, I checked here as well with other test takers, and I had the same answers. I was expecting a lower score, because of the essay (i freaked out a little and didn’t have time to extend on my ideas), but surely something must have gone wrong.

I say we wait for the score report and QAS to come out.

For now, call College Board (open on Tues) and get the score verification form.

And alisyn, I didn’t feel uneasy about the writing either. I had a few problems here and there but I got them after skipping and coming back to them. The test’s writing was definitely not that hard and I am pretty sure my score is incorrect.

Same here. CollegeBoard ****ed us over! That’s why the scores were delayed, something went wrong just like in 2006. My brother result were delayed and when they were finally revealed he got 1860 when he was getting 2200s in the blue book. Turns out few months later CollegeBoard had some problems with grading them. My brother got an email from CollegeBoard, after he had sent his scores to schools, telling him that there had been some problems with his score. He actually got a 2230! Now we all know history repeats itself…

LucrativeLatino, if what you’re saying is true, well **** *itty * **** *! I *ing HATE the collegeboard. I swear, all they are is a bunch of money grubbing *******s. nonprofit… my ass, no profit. They either had trouble with the system, or they purposely screwed a few people over so they’d pay tot take the test again/pay for score verification. Well, joke’s on them, cause I can’t god damn afford it!

I’m sorry, I’m just really, really ****ed off.

Can’t believe this! Grades dropped 100 points from March to May after studying! Was so depressed. LucrativeLatino - you give me hope.
Well, trying again on Saturday.

LucrativeLatino: You frighten me! I got 800 on CR and Writing, and a 790 on Math. I really hope those scores are my scores and not someone else’s! Guess I’ll have to wait until my essay comes out on June 1st (or so CB claims).
