Scores and Letters of Recommendations

When is the deadline to send in scores? I just sent my scores today, the day of the deadline, and since it takes 2 weeks for scores to reach the campus, will it be considered late?

Also, I know Rutgers says on the website that it does not use letters of recommendation for admissions considerations, but is that dependent on individual schools? I am applying to the College of Engineering, so would I need LORs for that? Would it help my application if I sent in LORs?

I don’t know that much so I would verify this, but as far as I know no schools need letters. If you go to the general Rutgers application section of the website and read about the required credentials, it mentions that you only need to submit one application and apply to all the various schools on there, and it says specifically that they don’t take letters of rec. So no, probably not.

As far as the scores, I’m wondering the same thing. I’m going to send mine tonight but I don’t know if I should use rush shipping so they aren’t late. I know for a fact that they don’t need the scores until 2 weeks from now, but I don’t know how long it will take them to officially get them. Apparently there is processing time after they are received from collegeboard, which makes me think that maybe it takes even more than 2 weeks for them to officially be received, if that makes any sense.

@stressedgirl21 Thanks! Also do you know if there is any way to report AP exam scores on the Rutgers application or no?

Sorry if I’m too late, but I don’t think so. I didn’t see anything about it, and I looked it up on their website and it seems they don’t need AP scores for admissions.

i’m pretty sure you have it figured out by now but you can call their admissions office if you have any difficulty

you don’t need ANY recs for rutgers. if you do send a rec to them, they’ll think you don’t follow directions and it’ll be a bad start so i would highly recommend to not send any
