Pffft, Skyrior, only two Nobel prizes? I got four, dude. Four. Beat that.

Posting DD’s stats: SAT 2200 (800cr, 680m, 720w), SAT II 790 EL, 750 USHist, 730 Bio, GPA 3.97uw, rank 3/325, 5 AP’s (all 5’s), plus 3 more this year. Major: Poli Sci/History. Essays rocked - funny, intellectual. Teacher rec’s excellent (“Once in a generation student.”) One of DD’s teachers dates a U of C professor and desperately wants her to go. DD will be really bummed if she doesn’t get in, especially after G-Town deferral. Hoping essays and rec’s make up for SAT, not that a 2200 is anything to be ashamed of.

@Bulet, Those are Illinois’s cuts. You woulda made it by a bit

LOL Skyrior…love the Sealand references.

Fellow IB student here (but a domestic applicant). 36 ACT, 800 on USH, 760 on Bio E, 740 on Math II. 3.97 UW, 5.0 W (.025 per semester of honors/AP/IB). 5 5’s and 3 4’s on APs, 7 and 6 on my SL IBs so far. NMSF and National AP Scholar. My predicted scores weren’t sent because I’m a domestic applicant, but I’m predicted for an A on EE and I think in the 41-42 range overall.

Texas doesnt use cuts

Is it just based off of what rank you are in the state? If so…that sounds a lot tougher and prone to luck than ours. How far off were you in the 200 last year?

Its based off how you place at regionals

LOLLL I agree with impressionistic, epic references Skyrior! xD

2400 SAT single sitting, 800 on USH, 800 on Math II, 800 on Spanish, 790 on Bio M. Taken 9 AP tests so far, 5’s on all of them. 3.93 UW, 4.4 W. National AP Scholar, NMSF, Siemens semifinalist, etc.

even as i’m posting i’m wondering why this thread exists

And I’m in the hardest region in the state
