Scores availability, rescheduling of test, and other generic questions

congratulations, ilovetocamp. that IS correct. you have now graduated from the school of the ridiculously obvious. (btw, I go to the university of the ridiculously obvious. not so easy...)

Yeah, the collegeboard told me I would have to send the score reports again, paying for each one again. Grrrrrrrrrrrr

they should be online about 13 days from today

it should and had better be on on the 2nd friday after today. i don't think the other snowed in test centers will matter. they'll be glad there was snow cuz now they won't have to rush to get half a million scores on all at once.

It's not like ilovetocamp was also sarcastic or anything....

:)

Wait, so it took yours only like 4 days? Was that Wednesday the time everyone else got theirs?

Evil bastards at ETS. I think they're making fun of you... yes, you, personally.

Oh if you call early to find out your score, how much earlier is it? Collegeboard site didn't say.

For today's SAT/SAT II tests, scores will be avaliable by phone on Feb. 4th for $10. However, this is the same date that scores are posted to the CB website for free (actually, you can sometimes even get your score online a day early), so there really's isnt any point to using the phone service.

Score info

Oh it's same lol than it's pointless. Thanks for the reply.

check the afternoon of the 3rd, they are normally up the afternoon of the day before.

collegeboard.com says feb 4. i hope that the snowed in places dont effect todays scores- they dont retake till the 5th

A post on the old board about scores when taking the test standy. The OP in that thread emailed the CB and got this response "Yes, you will be able to see your scores online, once your answer sheet has been scored. Please take you a completed registration form with you to the test center".

Your new registration wiill be linked to your online account through your Social Security Number for Americans or probably by you name/address for internationals. Any score reports you request from your registration form will be standard SAT score reports, with a cumulative record of all your previous SAT I and SAT II tests.

Hey, does anyone know how the rush reports work? like how are they supposed to convert your raw score into a 200-800 scale score if they haven't finished grading everyone elses'? do they use an old conversion table or something?

And will rush reporting affect your score in anyway?

This is what I think: All colleges recieve your score by electronic mail, which arrives the same time your scores show up online.
Colleges also get a copy of your score on paper, which is sent a few days (like five) after your scores show up online. Rush Reporting will cut down the number of days you'll have to wait for CB to send out your scores. So instead of five, you only have to wait for 2 days.
Some colleges use the electronic version of the scores; in such cases, rush reporting won't help at all. But some colleges require the paper form; that's when rush reporting would fasten the process.

Rush reporting will definitely not change your score in anyway.

To me, this is just one of CB's trick -_- I try not to fall for it.
(They probably have to work on the statistics, sorting, etc.)
Unless you really need it fast for applications, please don't.

Hey TANMAN, thanks for the infor. But are you sure that "any score reports you request from your registration form will be standard SAT score reports, with a cumulative record of all your previous SAT I and SAT II tests"????
Collegeboard says that " The four free score sending requests cannot be applied to past, or future, score sending requests or registrations. " Does that mean the 4 free reports don't include previous tests??? They don't say anything about the not-free reports though. I'm still waiting for e-mail from collegeboard. This's so urgent. Anyone else know any infor about this score report thing?? Thanks a lot in advance!!!

I think the meaning of the line you posted is that you cannot "save up" you free score reports and use them all after you have taken all your SAT I/II's. In addition, if you paid for reports in the past, you cannot "use" your free reports to get your money back. Since your paper registration is tied to your online account, I don't see how they would not send cumulative reports. The CB eliminated Score Choice because they did not want people not sending all their scores to colleges, and if this were a way to only send your most recent scores, I bet more people would have expoited it.

Thats just my take on it.. you should wait for official confirmation from the CB

yeah, it makes sense. Thanks tanman. I still have to wait for CB reply before ordering online reports. Btw, rush reports mean colleges will receive your scores 3 days after you ordered, right??? what about normal reports, about 3 weeks or more, guys?

Thats correct. Rush reports are sent "within two working days" of your test being scored and the report being requested. Normal reports are sent "about three weeks after you submit your request". However, before you rush any reports, check with the colleges you are sending them to. Some colleges have specifically stated that there is no need to rush score reports. Send a quick email to each admissions office telling them you have taken the January test and ask if they want you scores to be rushed.
