So I took the SAT II's in may and these were my results:
-Math iic/Bio/US: 760/730/730

Since I'm applying early to Wharton I want to boost my math score to an 800. So if I retake Math iic in October, will my scores get to Penn in time? Should I rush them?

Don’t retake the 760. Focus on your essays instead. May the admission gods look kindly upon thee.

Whartonite, should I really not retake it, because I’ve heard that 800’s are a dime a dozen at Wharton, and can be used to weed out applicants?

Well, it’s just that there’s not much of a difference between 750 and 800. Even your 730s are fine. If you were taking another subject test, I guess then there wouldn’t be much harm in wasting another hour. But time spent studying for it can be put to much better use, college app related or not. It’s up to you. Good luck.

^ Agreed. The SAT is an aptitude test. Once you achieve scores like 760, adcoms know you can handle that kind of material, and they move on to more important parts of your application. The SAT subject tests are merely numbers.

Ok thanks whartonite and stars aligned…I think I’m gonna take your advice and start focusing on essays and less stats related stuff.

It only takes an hour to get the 800… go for it

But if you don’t get 800, you not only look like a marks obsessive freak but also cemented your ineptitude for math. I doubt anyone can completely GUARANTEE 800 without spending valuable study hours.

You can almost GUARANTEE an 800 in Math II if you took precalc.

Also schools won’t know your a mark obsessive freak…they’ll just see an 800.

“almost” … hmm

Anyway, UPenn WILL know because they get the complete testing records and see every retake.
