Scores for non-native speakers?

Hi there,

I'm sure many students share my problem: my SATs and ACTs are pretty low for good colleges (combined 1850, ACT 27), but the thing is that English is my second language I started learning with 11 and at home, at school, etc. I speak another language (I'm international). My school is a normal public school, nothing elite-private-international-like, and I'm the first student at my school ever to take standardized tests. Do you think admissions officers will look at my scores differently than from international students speaking English at school?
It would be great to hear about your opinions, experiences, etc. because just as I said, standardized tests have been a mystery to me until a couple of months ago...

Well for me:english is my THIRD LANGUAGE after french and arabic and i only learned it at 11 and i don’t study at an international scholl and i am the only to take standarized tests or even apply to US colleges eventhough my scholl is among top 3 in the country!!
However ,i worked on my sat and got around 2300 in practise tests,so, this isn’t an excuse!
however, bringing diversity(being among tho first from a certain region to apply) is some kind of a boost !!
