Scores on the practice tests vs. Scores on the Real Test.

Which did you do better on? The practice tests from the blue book (even though they dont give actual score but a range) or on the real SAT.

The real thing. In fact, on the blue book test I took before the real thing, my math score was abysmal at, like, 640. I got a 710 on the real thing.

I did better on the real thing than on any practice tests (I took dozens and kept getting the same score) or PSATs. I got ~2270 on just about all my practice tests, and on my PSAT as well.

I've always recieved a higher grade ont he actually then on practice tests and PSATs.

did so much better on the practice tests. (but i took practice tests after i took the "real" test which im retaking.)

I did better on the real thing.....was all excited and had the adrenaline going

I was scoring like 2000-2100 on practice tests, then got a 2340. I just concentrated more

I took practice tests online on collegeboard.com and did several hundred points better on the real thing.

I got about the same...

About the same.

Overall, I got higher scores on the practice tests. My math was almost always 800, my CR was about 630, and my writing was between 620 and 650. On the actual test I got a 740 on the math which gave me a shock. However, I got a 680 on the CR (thanks to me deciding to try the cover up answers and try to answer question by itself strategy FOR THE FIRST TIME... very lucky) I also thought my essay would be a 5 (average on practice tests), but I got a 4...

Conclusion:
Average on Practice: 2100-2180
Actual: 2020

Did much better in Math on Kaplan and PR practice tests - between 720 and 750. On the real thing got 650.
