Scores to be posted April 24 NOW

Great they are extending the release of the scores another week, April 24. For now on they are going to extend the grading period one week. So now you will have to wait 3 weeks for all tests.

Email Received:

"We want to assure you that accurate student scores and a quality testing experience are the College Board's top priorities. For this reason, we are taking additional steps in the SAT scanning process. As a result, the score reporting date will be extended approximately one week. This will allow us to be certain that the new processes are implemented thoroughly."

As College Board President Gaston Caperton has said, "We want every student to feel confident at all times about the accuracy of his or her scores."

Great...Just Great...

Argh! Why, I was looking forward to next Monday...now Collegeboard will prolong the agony of confirming my low score. Why couldn't they increase efficiency and productivity by hiring more staff? Argh, I feel let down...I hate how Collegeboard has so much control of our future

There is something that does not sense to me. As we all know there were two different tests administered on April 1st. One had much more difficult math. While the Collegeboard goes to great effort to make cetain that tests administered on one date are comparable with tests administered on another date, they do this when only one test is administered. I have heard that collegeboard is not planning on scaling separately the two tests given on April 1st. Their stances is that when two tests are given they make sure they are the same level of difficulty. It does not seem right that all 500,000 who take the April 1st exam should be scaled together. I wonder what is the point of equating one test with other tests given on different dates, if two tests given on the same date or note equated?

Hmm that SUCKS. :)

too much....................i cant bear any more..
they extended the score processing period only to ward off the possbile negative effects from weather, and this costs a week??/
they should do hand scoring; i dont care how many weeks that takes, but it definitely works better than machine-rescore.

which one is considered to have had the harder math? the chair one?

I actually dont mind at all that they are taking an extra week before scores come out...if taking an extra week means they dont f up on 4000 scores...im cool w/ that...
