Scores UN-OFFICIAL????!!!!

I just checked my Application Status, and under Tests Received, it says my SATs and SAT IIs are un-official!

I submitted them (officially, from collegeboard) on December 28 and again (oops) on December 29.

:(

Please help

I submitted my scores through collegeboard to “HARVARD UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS” it makes a difference

Calm down.

Are all of your scores unofficial or just some of them? I too had a freak out when I noticed that on the H website, some of my scores were unofficial, but then I realized I had applied to some schools that did not accept score choice and had thus listed all of my scores on the ComApp but only submitted some of them to H.
Check the CB website to see if your scores were indeed sent.

If it still seems that your scores are missing, contact Harvard. But as the admissions website says the following:

it seems unlikely that your scores have really not arrived.

Hey I actually had this problem last week. It turned out that Harvard did not in fact have my scores (due to a recent policy change). I had to send them in again. You should call tomorrow morning and see if the admissions office can solve this.

Yup, all of my scores are unofficial. And, according to collegeboard, they have been sent. Twice. Ugh. I’ll call the admissions office tomorrow.

thanks

Hey everyone, I have this same problem too. All of my scores are listed as “un-official”, though collegeboard says they have been sent. Synapse, please let me know what the admissions office says tomorrow. I’m getting worried and I think I might have to call too. Thanks.

Wisteria, I’d call tomorrow if I were you. The people answering the phones are extremely helpful, and will likely give you a number so that you can fax in your official score reports. one early morning phone call could save you a lot of worry.

I called this morning, and they had a folder for my scores and a folder for my application. For anyone who has the same problem – I think you need to call to sort it out.

Glad you called. I know an applicant for whom some scores, not all, were listed as “unofficial.” She called and learned from the board that her the scores were “unofficial” because her city of residence as shown in one place didn’t match up with the city shown in another.

Thanks guys. I called and the representative realized that my application and my scores were listed under two slightly different names (one is abbreviated). I feel so stupid-- do you think this mishap will have an adverse effect on my application? It seems like the reading committee would be in its final stages now, so I really hope this didn’t hinder me in the process. What if they didn’t even consider my application because the scores weren’t official? Aughhh sorry I’m freaking myself out, lol.

If it is the fault of the admissions office as you seem to portray it as, I would assume they would review your application again as a matter of fairness. I could speculate on whether your chances are diminished/increased due to this, but I’m no admissions committee member. Stay optimistic and hang in there. It’s good you addressed the problem!
