<p>rsaxena, Purdue has lots of departmental scholarships. Most of the people I know there are on SOME form of scholarship, which they’ve gotten usually after the freshman year. Thing with Purdue is, they take EVERYONE. And then they fail EVERYONE. (The use of “EVERYONE” is an obvious exaggeration. PCness, gee) One of my friends who’s studying CompE there, told me that during his first year there were about 200+ kids in his class, and now in his 4th year, there are about 40. So since there are so few kids left, Purdue’s able to give some scholarship to almost every student. The mere fact that you’ve survived all these years, means you are doing something right.</p>
<p>And what about scholarships at the time of admission?</p>
