Scores:

I took the Math IIC and got a 770 and I took the Math IC and got a 630. Are my chances destroyed for more competitive schools?

I already sent in my applications and wrote my tests on my application. I sent my applications in ahead of time. So, the test and the date taken are written down, but not my actual score.

Is the 630 in math going to hurt my chances?

These are all my SAT II scores:

Math IIC 770, US History 730, Biology 700, and Math IC 630.

My friend also scored low on his Math IC (a 640), but didn't take math IIC. Is he in the same predicament that I'm in?

His scores are US History 730, Biology 670, and Math IC 640.

My friend, however, is submitting two AP scores US History and Bio (Both Fives), and sadly, he doesn't have any other choice, but he has to submit his 640 on his Math IC. His EC's are great, His GPA is high, is Rank is high, Essays are excellent, and a graded essay he got a 98 on. So, my question really is: will that 640 deter his acceptance to Middlebury?

Can someone help my pal and I out?

Don't worry, guys. A score in the 600 range doesn't hurt anything. I guarantee you that the admissions people are more concerned with how well-rounded you are and what you have to contribute to the school than how well you score on a test.

don't worry,
first of all, they will only take your top 2 scores (or top 3 depending on the school)
and secondly they hold math IIC in higher esteem so i think they will throw out your level 1 score
you're fine!

there is a reason i did not take any math sat IIs...

you should be fine, though.

For my friend they're going to look at 5 American, 5 Bio, and 630 Math.

Dude, you should have only submitted your best three. Colleges require at most three, not sure of Middlebury's exact requirements.

Do you think it would hurt that much though?
