scores...

i'm in 7th grade and i took the SAT... are these good scores? well, considering im not even in high school yet...
math- 520
reading- 440
writing- 420

hmmm, well lol ummm u are in seventh grade...i think the math score is good..u would score 50 % better than most high scoolers

hahaha... thanks... :)

wow, in a few years, there will be elementary kids on CC. mark my words.

lol if they're smart enough to alter their age!!!

I took the SAT in seventh grade... Then I took it in 8th grade without studying and I scored 250 points higher. It's still hard to tell how you'll do in the future. But for a seventh grader it's not too bad.

i scored 55~ and 60~ for math and verbal on my 9th grade PSAT. without doing anything at all, my scores went up to high 600's a few years later. so yeah it's too early.....

let's me put it this way.

it's much easier to go from 400 to 600 than 600 to 800.

When you reach certian degree, like 700, to raise 20 points is like rising 100 points from 550 in terms of difficulty

Well, you're smarter than ~95% of kids your age, for what it's worth. It is kind of hard to say how well you will do when you're older. A suggestion: if you don't already, read for pleasure whenever you can. It's the only real way to boost verbal and writing scores down the line.

they're acceptable for your age. did you take it through the MTS?

nope, duke TIP.

people at my school got 1350s on the SAT when they were in 7th grade

I got a 550 and a 520 or something (550 verbal, 520 math) in 7th grade, which was like 64 percentile nationally compared to seniors. In 8th grade, I took the ACT and got a 25 (89 percentile). I didn't do much prep between 7th and 8th grade (nor much after 8th grade...) and this year I got NMSF and about 98 percentile on the SAT. I think you'll be fine, especially if you study.
