Scoring help

I'm a bit confused about how the SATs are scored.. do you lose points for omitting questions or getting them wrong? I'm sure I read that somewhere. If you don't know the answer, is it better to guess or omit the question?

You lose points for getting them wrong. You gain no points from omitting them but you lose none either. To your question, it depends on what the question and how many other answers you can eliminate. If you deduced the answer to between two choices, guess.

Oookay, I understand. Thanks!
