Scrambled brains and bacon anyone?

yeah lola-cho im applying to 11 schools and im freaking out too..spending too much time on here... and i have sub-par stats for most of the ones im applying too

^ Hehe, same, I applied to 10 schools (1 ED, 3 EA), so I've been going nuts making sure that each school got everything, that my interviews are being set up, etc....it is a bit insane. :</p>

Yeah WoW, I've definitely noticed that when I have an essay to do (which is all of the time) I end up on CC, just wasting time. So far I've only written 2 essays this weekend for college apps, and an article for one of my classes, but I still have to start an essay for my AP English class. Luckily, we have monday off. : )

Wow, I haven't even started ANYTHING yet. I still don't know all the colleges I will be applying to. Is it too late to start if I am not doing EA/ED?

No its never to early...have u guys seen MADE on mtv with the hip hop girl who wants to go to harvard? she already filled out her apps a long time ago

I bet she applied last year, too. That's usually how MADE works. And I think January is too late for ED/EA, but that's just my personal opinion. Flipsta you've got plenty of time, just don't procrastinate.

"spending too much time on here... and i have sub-par stats for most of the ones im applying too"

hmm... yeah that was the curse of discovering this site. i use the excuse that it is related to college but it def just makes me way more stressed out :( also everyone on here talks like they are completely done. and it really scares me that i have probably one of the best high school college counselors in the country and he doesn't do anything for me. it's partly that i already know like 90% of what he tells me but still i really feel sorry for all you guys out there whose parents don't care/don't have gc! I'm def on the other end of the spectrum w/ my mom pressuring me about finishing my ea essays..... urgh.

ok well gl everyone and thanks jusgimme for... allowing me to vent ;)

This site does make me more nervous...especially the people who are like: whine I have a 4.0 and 2400 and a gazillion clubs and varsity sports and 80 volunteer hours a week, what are my chances for the ivys. They make me feel inadequate, lol.

Eh I just laugh at them heh. I know I'll find my way into some college. It's good to know that other people have this frustration also (TRUE frustration, not perfect whiney kid frustration).

Haha, exactly, thanks for understanding. Go B+'s and sub-2300 SAT scores! At least we're not robots that crank out the grades, right?

amen amen. You can tell these people feel so much better than everyone, and in some areas they seem to be (speaking numerically of course), but college prepares one for the real world, and in the real world people are not perfect, because well, the SAT doesn't exactly measure life skills. I hope that makes sense (I have Monty Python's spam song going through my head right now so it's hard to concentrate).

18 days to EA deadline!!!!

shhhhhh.....

depending on where you're applying of course... my first ea is not for another month and my second isnt for 15 days after that one

bleh, whoever said your senior year is a breeze was certainly incorrect. i have 3 apps due 10/31, none are done. i still have 1 major essay, 4 short answers. i just dont have time with school, clubs, work, night class. god. my parents dont know english. and my dad seems to think im a junior, who's applying to college. as for good news, i'm really really glad i found CC this month! =)

ahhhh im contemplating whether to apply EA or not to chicago....i seriously havnt started doing ANYTHING yet, so im guessing its better to do regular nd just perfect everythign i do...if i try to do EA now im sure ill mess up somewhere

well whats the deadline for chicago? and isn't it ED which would be a much bigger decision?... If not and if it's next month sometime then you might just have time, but don't rush things I guess

chicago deadline is 11/1. and it's EA, not ED.

17 days!!

banedon how ready are you? and I don't think 17 days is enough heh... my bad... I can't believe chicago does EA.. that's crazy
