Am I pretty much screwed for a 3.4 unweighted GPA for umich out of state??
I have taken the hardests classes in our school and have weighted GPA of 4.4 or something (10% weighted, 25% unweighted).
Planning to apply for engineering, so 800s on both SAT I and II on math would look great......

I want to go to Umich ... :(

Your GPA is going to hurt you since Michigan does not look at weighed GPA. However, Michigan does consider curriculum difficulty. Apply in September and try to break the 2100 on your SAT and you have a decent chance. But like I said, your GPA is on the low end. And by the way, Michigan does not look at SAT IIs.

haha that blows that they don't look at weighted and SAT IIs

:(

Based on your stats, your gpa is low. However, the earlier you apply, the better your chances. So, apply early, and see what happens. Good luck!

Considering curriculum difficulty is very similar to considering a weighted GPA, though, isn't it? One is just a numerical representation.

Yes Luckyboy, it does blow...but you aren't "screwed". You still have a decent chance. You just have to do your best on the SAT and apply as early as possible.

but i can still send the scores for them to see right ??

Yes, you may send your scores. It cannot hurt, especially if they are stellar.

hopefully my great EC will get me in :(
