screwed for WORLD HISTORY AP

I took East freshman year, and am taking west sophomore year. A lot of people were taking the world history ap test, so i decided to sign up. problem is though i covered east and west, i've never learned about histories of russia, south america, southeast asia, and a few other places. the other material i can review, but it'll take a while. I have roughly a month. could i study all this in a month? whats the best studying strategy?

Get a review book if you don't have an approved World History text.

Yeah. I totally crapped out. I was going to take AP World/AP Euro, but realized I wanted to enjoy April and May :)

Dude, don't stress, i self-studied for the AP world test in just under two weeks and i managed to get a 4. I may have studied for one day total. Most of it is memorization.

Ponnan what other test did you treat in such a Blaise mannor? I'm curious I have two other AP's.

Are you decently good at history? If so, that test is a joke. I've independent studied it, with no other resources than a borrowed textbook and got a 5. I laughed when I saw the multiple choice questions, I felt I overkilled studying the little details.

well i'm not "good" at history. it's just I have a reaaally good memory. & i do have all the materials (textbook, workbooks etc) i just dont know where to begin . it's all such a clutter.

Well, study broadly, and do not get stuck on a section. If you don't know a section, just glaze over it and leave it at that. Do not study little details like learning of the accomplishments of the 32nd king of Babylonia. For example focus rather on what Babylonia was, what it developed, and how it affected human civilization.

You just need 60% correct on the multiple choice to get a 3 or above, depending on the essay. Remember all the history from 6000BC to present is covered, so don't get too fascinated on a time period or become too Eurocentric. Remember that Europe was and is not the center of the world.

Read your workbooks and helpbooks and practice the DBQs. You'll do fine.

I agree, if you're good at history, it's an easy test. I also got a 5.

Actually, I only self-studied world history.

i just bought princeton review and read that and took the practice tests and i felt that i easily got a 5
