Screwed up FinAid..

So it turns out my FAFSA stated that I was a 1st year grad student pursuing a potential MBA.. and I'm actually a 1st year UNDERgrad student who HOPES for an MBA.

Not sure how that came about.. but I think I'm screwed now.

Am I going to lose all my finaid? Because it sounded like I was an independent on my first FAFSA.. but I still have parents whose EFC is like 0 ~ 12,000. (Preferably 0)

What should I do ._. I contacted the Financial Aid Office and told me to resubmit my FAFSA with the proper corrections. I'm so worried.. has anyone ever seen this happen to anybody?

Did you not know of this problem until just now? Had Berkeley awarded you financial aid and then discovered this? I’m just trying to figure out how this happened. As far as your aid being gone, I don’t know. What did you have? Did you have grants?

I didn’t even know until now…

Berkeley hasn’t disbursed my grants / scholarships yet.

I was registered as an undergraduate (undergrad fin aid office) and everything so I assumed everything was OK.

Then when I emailed the finAid office about my grants / scholarships not being disbursed, they mentioned a mistake in my FAFSA. And I was like, “if you knew then why didn’t you guys reply back sooner…?”

Anyhow, I had the Cal Grant, Undergrad Scholarship (how the hell did they have an UNDERGRADUATE scholarship in my name when my FAFSA stated that I was a 1st year GRADUATE? Berkeley financial aid is making NO SENSE to me right now), and some other grants.
