I got accepted to UC Davis a few month ago. I was so happy since all my friends are going there. But when I checked up on my application to look for my ID, I found a huge mistake on my "other a-g coursework"(stuffs like Chinese school, computer classes and etc not classes that you take in school but during weekends). I took Vietnamese school for 3 years on Saturdays. I thought I took it for 8,9,10th grade(my mom thought I took them those years as well) but when I was recently talking to my friends at school. One of them told me I took it for 7,8,9th grade and when I called the school. She was right.

Am I going to be rescinded? Should I call them to tell them the mistake or just keep quiet and avoid the trouble. According to some of my friend if UC wanted to check for your EC or other course work or community service or work experience. They would have done it between January and Match. I am really worried. Can someone please help me?

Schools do sometimes verify ECs, but I don't think being one year off on the dates for Vietnamese school is a "huge mistake." I doubt that this would be regarded as a big deal. If you want to set your mind at ease you might want to write a brief correction for your school. Do Colleges Verify Information in Applications? - Ask The Dean

thx, does anyone have any other opinion? Most of my friend just told me to leave it alone. I really don't want to stir up any big problems since I have plans to go to Vietnam this summer.

I don't think it's a big deal. You did take it for 3 years either way, it's just a matter of which 3 years (and only 1 year difference at that)

For peace of mind, you could call the school anonymously and ask what would happen if an applicant had made a mistake in reporting the years a course was done (grades 8-10 vs. 7-9)
