screwed up transcript + re-applying

Last year when i applied my school sent a transcript with a minor miscalculation. A 9.60 instead of 9.68. Now, that's not a really big deal, but when i apply again this year, the gpa sent will be different. That may raise some suspicion.

I mailed Brown (where i plan to try ED) and asked them. After 4 different emails and 4 different responses, they still haven't answered (what a surprise). They did say however that they still have my old transcript.

So, what to do? Should i ask my counselor to add a confirmation about the gpa change?

I would ask for a confirmation. I can't see that this would hurt you and may help.

Yes, the Brown bureaucrats can be something. I never could get an answer to my questions when my daughter was applying. Now that she is there, she found it took one semester to correct an obvious transcript error and is currently filling out a third form to try to get credit for something she did last summer (why the third? because the first two forms she had been given were incorrect ...) They also messed up last year about NCAA qualifications and a number of folks on D's team missed the first competition. Yikes!

She loves the school otherwise. Good luck!

okay. a .08 change is so minute, you are stressing and wasting everyones' time,

a flag would be raised if it was a 3.68 from a 2.68, but .o8....

if the transcript comes from the school all official with its stamps, and in the envelope, they won't even think about it
