Screwed

Wow. I never filed the FAFSA for any of the schools I applied to. Does that mean I get no aid package? Also, Penn never sent me anything about my Fin Aid pacakge, so does that mean I didn’t get in?

If you applied with the common app, did you fill in the box that asked if you were applying for aid and when you would be filing the papers? If you applied with the Penn app, there was a financial aid supplement to turn in if you were applying for aid (I'm not really familiar with Penn's specific app...). Or did you fill all that out and just not file the FAFSA?

I didnt file the Penn specific, I only sent them my CSS profile. No FAFSA yet either. I just realized how screwed I am.

It's best to call and find out tomorrow (ASAP!). Perhaps there's still time - on Chicago's app, they've still got an announcement telling people they can fill out finaid forms (though, again, not sure about Penn's policy). I doubt they would have that announcement up there just because they forgot to update the website or something. Don't not do anything - find out tomorrow what your options are, and don't panic! :)

i think you might be screwed... theres a deadline for aid and if your stuff wasnt in on time... i dont kno, call your schools and figure it out

Actually, according to the Penn Financial Aid checklist (bottom of the page):
<a href="http://www.sfs.upenn.edu/finaid-checklists/checklists-pro-us-regular.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.sfs.upenn.edu/finaid-checklists/checklists-pro-us-regular.htm</a></p>

Submit a 2007-2008 FAFSA

Online at www.fafsa.ed.gov
OR
Request a paper FAFSA from your high school
Deadline: April 15, 2007

Hahaha that sucks.

I don't think they really use the FAFSA.
