Did the interview, which I thought went kind of badly
Does anyone know in detail about the different kinds of scholarships Scripps has? And how many people they award them to?
I got the Trustees scholarship (17k/year)
@oswin_oswald18 If you really are set on Scripps, you can apply to transfer after a year somewhere else. I was told that homeschooled students in general have a harder time being admitted unless the GPAs are matched by equally high SAT and SAT2 or ACT scores. 2080 superstore doesn’t match that criteria. I’d go elsewhere and apply as a transfer.
Congratulations to those of you admitted! If you choose Scripps, I’m sure you’ll love it. My D does.
if I’m rejected from scripps I prob won’t get into pitzer right ? scripps has a higher acceptance rate right ?
Scripps only has a higher acceptance rate because there are fewer applicants. If it was coed/if more girls liked women’s colleges, I really think it would have a lower acceptance rate
There are surprises all the time where students get into one school but not another. Each school is looking for something different. You just never know.
okay thanks pitzer is a dream of mine and the scripps rejection stung a bit. my essays were very pitzery I thought I feel into the average student bracket not sure why I was rejected really
@makimotto I was rejected from Pitzer EDI but accepted to Scripps EDII. You never know! The college application process definitely has some level of randomness and unpredictability. Good luck!
thanks!
Accepted w/ 22k merit scholarship. VERY tempting offer that I probably would have taken had I not gotten accepted to Pomona last week. I’m glad I’ll be staying close, I still love Scripps!
2270 SAT (one sitting), 3.9 UW GPA. Interviewed in July. I also go to an all girls school, which I’m sure gave me a bit of a boost.
