Hey, have any of you done an interview at Scripps? If so what is it like and what kind of questions do they have? Thanks :)

Hi! I’m sorry that no one else has responded to your question.

I’m a current Scripps first-year that was accepted, in my opinion, because of the interview and my essays. I managed to make my interviewer (class of '14) cry by talking about your life. They basically just ask you questions about high school and why you like scripps. It’s pretty chill, but you just have to know what you’re talking about and be intelligent. Scripps is looking for a certain type of personality to attend (passionate, driven, confident etc - their admissions publications indicate this) and the interview can sway them toward you if you have those qualities. Come prepared with questions! They like to know that you want to be there, and an interview shows that, but they will be even more convinced if you ask some questions about Scripps. Being confused about Core is a good start (which was what I asked).

Scripps is definitely a holistic review school and everyone who was admitted got handwritten notes/compliments on their acceptance letters. Mine said, “I admire your strength and dedication.”

Good luck! If you get a chance to check out the campus while you’re doing the interview, please take the opportunity and sit in on a class. Scripps is such a wonderful place to be and I’m so happy I did the interview.

Hi would you mind sharing your stats? I really want to get into Scripps and I want to see my chances!

My daughter attends Scripps…you have to sign up for an interview on their website, they don’t call you for an interview. http://www.scrippscollege.edu/admission/campus-visits
I interviewed in November with the Dean of Admissions
