how hard is it to get into the school of computer science?
what is the admission rate?
and do they weigh computer science ec's in high school more than other colleges?

I believe CMU as a whole has an admission rate of about 35%, and the SCS’s admission rate is 15%.

You can check out CMU’s admission statistics at this site:

[Admission > Admission Statistics](<a href=“Home - Computing Services - Office of the CIO - Carnegie Mellon University”>Home - Computing Services - Office of the CIO - Carnegie Mellon University)

At the SCS presentation I went to at CMU they said something like 3000 applicants this year and 400 acceptances

Now it’s 345 accepted from 5071 applicants for an acceptance rate of 6.8%.

It was around 4% last year, I believe. Got denied myself this year.

The first post on here is completely wrong…anyway, yea, SCS was 4% last year.
