SCS or Cornell Engineering?

I got into the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon and the College of Engineering at Cornell University. Which one should I choose?

Both of these colleges are the hardest to get into at their respective universities.

I am an intended CS Major.

where do you live, MIT?

Germantown, MD

CMU, its closer by carpooling and by plane.

CMU. Son accepted the SCS and declined Cornell Engineering. CMU SCS is ranked top one with MIT, Stanford.

I had the same choice…

easy decision for me, I’m really truly a CS person (also hoping to double major, maybe minor ECE). CS wasn’t as strong a program although very strong. Their EE was great-- but I thought there would be more opportunities at CMU since it’s smaller.

Also, the fit of the campus was better for me.

Cannot go wrong with either- where will you be happiest?
I didn’t like the large Cornell campus in the middle of no where.
