Who has applied as a transfer to SCU for Fall of 2010..

I submitted my application about 2 weeks ago but I don't even think they are going to begin to review the applications until April 15...

Has anyone that has submitted the common app, supplement, etc received anything in the mail yet about the estudent website where you can track your application??

I applied as a transfer undergraduate for Fall of 2010. When I called the admissions office to ask about ecampus to track my application status they informed me it was for admitted students. I also asked if we had to wait until June for notification of acceptance and I was informed that they tell applicants mid June just to be safe but you could hear as early as mid May.

Hey I applied as an incoming junior transfer for fall 2010. I think ecampus ID# is to be received by any student who has applied to SCU to check for any missing/needed documents. I received my campus login a week ago and in the the email also said “Please note that Transfer decisions will be sent via USPS by the first week in June. Decisions will not be posted on eCampus.”

Thanks for the update. The person that I spoke to was incorrect, because I too received an email with my id for ecampus. Have you applied to other schools unfortunately, the timing for SCU is out of sync from other schools. Good luck to you…

Yeah SCU sends their letters way later than other schools. Which college did you apply to? Good luck to you too!

I applied for Business at the following:

SJSU - Accepted
Cal Poly - Waitlisted
University of Colorado (Boulder) - Accepted
SCU - Pending

Have you guys received your decision letter???

They emailed me and requested a mid year report/my winter grades yesterday.

No decision letter yet. Still waiting… 2-3 weeks and we should hear from them.

Matt1234- that’s a good sign!

I know they sent out their first set of acceptance letters a couple of days ago. ahhh the anticipation… good luck to everyone!

Tell us more!

1) When you say sent “a few days ago” do you mean they were postmarked/sent last Monday? Tuesday? Wednesday? Details!

2) How did you get this info?

3) How many batches/waves are anticipated? Is it that they only manage (for example) to get a batch of 50-acceptances out per day and send them out in constant little batches? OR are they sending out their “top picks” and waiting for a yield and then sending out a second wave/batch, etc?

Thanks for any extra details!

letschatabout,

How do you know that they sent out their first letters of acceptance a couple of days ago? I did not think we would hear anything until the first week of June.

A few days ago as of May 11th. They were sent via. mail.

I received this info. from a friend’s dad who is a on the board of trustees.

Sorry, I have no clue on that!

letschatabout,

Thank you for the information.

Good luck to everyone! Please post results when you receive your letters.

No prob! Hope everyone gets accepted :)

Do you know if Santa Clara Financial Aid is good for transfer students? I qualify for the Cal Grant, some federal pell grants/loans, and probably work study. Right now I am looking at needing about $27-30k in need based aid or merit based. My EFC is pretty close to zero. I attend the University of California Irvine with a 3.66 GPA in the Campuswide Honors Program.

We have a transfer acceptance in our household! Postmarked May 17th arrived today the 18th. Large envelope. Everyone is very happy about the news!

annikasorrensen,
Congratulations! How exciting… I have been checking my mailbox daily with no news but now that you have received something I can look forward to tomorrow. Again, congratulations that is great news.
What was the major that you applied to?

D was accepted into the English major. Good luck to you, too!
