how does he like Revelle?

He's actually at ERC right now since that was the college he was offered fall admission. The only he complains about there are the extensive GE requirements and the college's writing classses (he's a bio major).

chipsahuy- were you placed with your roomates through UCSD's off campus housing or did you know them prior to the start of the quarter?

i meet them from the contact list that the housing office provided to us. the contact list was very helpful in that i didnt know anyone acccepted into the winter quarter and i was basically clueless as to who i was going to live with. what u do is fill out your own personal profile as does every other winter admit and all that info is put on a website where u can pick and choose who would be a good roommate. after you go over the profiles on the site, you can get in touch with these people and introduce yourself and what not and get a feel if they would be a good roommate.

thanks chipsahuy!

i was just wondering if anyone is planning on renting an apartment and attending the ucsd extension during the fall quarter.

thanks for your response chipsahuy.

Hey I'm also a winter admit for Revelle! I was offered Fall admission for John Muir but I figured it would save money to go in winter. I'm currently taking a few classes at a community college. I applied for the waitlist for on campus housing but from what I hear it's really rare that winter admits get on campus housing. I'll definitely rent an apartment if I don't get on campus housing though. Oh, I was wondering if there's a welcome week for winter admits too? I think Welcome Week for the start of the school year starts Sept 18. I don't want to miss out on signing up for clubs and stuff. Does anyone know if there is a welcome week for us?

Hi, i was wondering how hard it is to get into ucsd as a pose to uci and whether i would have a chance if a recevied a C in one class, otherwise my gpa was a 3.93. and sat of 1880 just gpa wise, am I in range for ucsd

3.93? weighted or non-weighted, that's pretty good.

its weighted..
so a 3.93 weighted is good for ucsd right??

sprirospero, would you consider me a strong canidate for ucsd if i have a 3.93weighted gpa, 2000 on sat (hopefully) i currently have a 1880, a 700 on US hist SAT II, and a 710on SAT IIC math? I have volunteered at the hospital for over 200hrs, and have been in link crew for two years,
chess and debate for last one year.

If you dont mind me asking, what was your gpa, sat scores? And the average for ucsd (gpa/sat)
would a C in a class knock me out of addmissions?

Thanks for the help

3.93 weighted isn't bad I guess. Your SAT's seem a little on the low side though, try retaking it and scoring higher. SAT II's don't seem that bad though. Also, I don't think C's matter that much as long as it's in a class where it's like.. they know it's hard. I have friends going into SD that got C's in AP Physics and English 3 Honors, so I guess it really depends on you. goodluck to you, but don't stress out too much. if you get into ucla, i'll see you there (if you go)! =).

dr. no,

my weighted gpa was 3.9

SAT I: 1270 (out of 1600)
SAT II Math IIC: 750
SAT II Chem: 710
SAT II Writing: 630 (lol I had to take the UC analytical writing test, and I fortunately passed)

dr. no, I would say you're doing pretty good! and remember that admissions are really strange. lol.

oh btw, for any winter quarter students who hasn't received housing and need an apartment, please message me!

Hey I'm a winter admit. I'm on waitlist for housing, but I'm not sure if I'll get on campus housing.

well if you don't, i know a person who needs two extra room mates, just give me a private message

hey, thanks!
