<p>There is a great deal of intensity and neurotic venting on SDN, but if you read carefully you can also learn a lot about the process</p>
<p>Haha, many are. And others play the part. Either way, you’re going to get that kind of thing when you’ve got a bunch of high-performing students… Have you visited CC lately?!
Considering the age difference, this is a FAR more neurotic place than is SDN and typically for much more trivial accomplishments.</p>
<p>I am new to this. My daughter is only a freshman. I know they say there are no dumb questions so “what does sdn mean?”</p>

<p>I agree that SDN has a lot of potential info, but I’m glad that I never found it until I was accepted.</p>
<p>There were times (only a few, but they existed) when I was glad to see that other people applying to medical school were as neurotic as I felt. People who aren’t applying to medical school don’t know how onerous it is, and most people don’t know how on-the-ball we all had to be during application season, or how no one can bet on an offer of admission. SDNers understood. That said, sometimes I had to get away from people who understood those things all too well.</p>

<p>i unfortunately found sdn very recently, and it has been pretty helpful, especially since im applying for med schools right now.</p>
<p>it has good information, but don’t drone over it for hours per day. I mainly just use it to gauge where med schools are with the applications they have.</p>
<p>SDN, is a good site. Yes, they do get incredibly neurotic in there, but there is also a lot to learn if you search through it. And yes, I remember mmmmcdowe from sdn, you give pretty good advice.</p>

<p>I like SDN, but some people on there are such jerks. I have found it much more antagonistic than CC has ever been.</p>
