Do you know of anyone who has been accepted/ would be accepted with a gpa in the range of 3.0 to 3.4 and slightly below average sat.

All thoughts are welcomed

???

I think the 25%-75% ranges for SAT Critical Reading is 480-580, and for Math it is 500-610. Slightly under half of all applicants are in the 500-599 range for them I believe, with about 25% being in the 400-499 range. So people with slightly below average SAT scores get accepted, I can’t recall any GPA data. I think the average for incoming freshmen for this year was around 3.7.

I believe SDSU has one of the lowest admit rates. I think GPA , major, and coming from the service area is more important than SAT, within reason. You still have to have a high enough eligibility index.

Mean SAT Verbal and Math for last year’s incoming freshmen were 529 and 554, respectively. Mean GPA was 3.62. So, you’d probably have to increase both of them. If you live in the area, I think you’ll be able to get in, even if you have lower stats.

[SDSU Office of Analytic Studies](http://asir.sdsu.edu/app/summary.cfm?Rep=191)

I depends on your major. Some majors are more competitive than others. A little less than average SAT is fine. I know that the average GPA this year was 3.7. Also, this year the admit rate at SDSU was only 11%.

my gpa is lower then 3.6 but i live only 1 hour away and my mom is an alumnist lol
