I’m about to submit my appeal to sdsu but I stated in there that my mother had breast cancer and was a key factor for some shortcomings. my problem is that they are asking for supporting documentation but I don’t have anything of the sort and don’t know what I would send if I did. Can I submit it without that, or would it really help my case?
Hi Chris,
I know I am not an official rep for SDSU but my recommendation is to try and gather some information because it never hurts to do that. In terms of sending documents, I would gather transcripts or paperwork to show that you were going through a difficult time. For example, I had bad comprehension skills in high school and then as I went to college I worked on them and it showed with my grades. In that example my transcripts were my supporting documents. I would also add to the letter what documents you have so if it something they don’t see all the time, they can understand it. If you have no information, I would recommend emailing the admissions committee, to personally talk to them about it. In times like these, people are going to be very understanding of what is going on. For any reference that is from an SDSU admissions rep email admissions@sdsu.edu , they will help guide you through the right process. I hope everything works out, and that you become an Aztec.
