I'm considering a couple reaches with USC and NYU as well.

GPA: 3.95
ACT Composite : 27
Intended Major: Hospitality and Tourism Management with an emphasis in Events Management
Hope to live in: Cuicacalli Suites :)

i thought my chances would be alright, even though i'm out of state, 'cause of the act score..but now that i read other people's rejection stories i'm not feelin' very optimistic.

GPA: 3.98
SAT: 1820
Intended Major: Hospitality and Tourism management with an emphasis in event planning

Im from out of state and SDSU is my number one choice. I have some back up schools (Washington State U and Southern Oregon) and although the instate tuition at WSU would be great, i was happy to see SDSU's out of state tuition isnt too bad!

Im hoping to get Villa Alvarado. Or are those just for upperclassmen?

Where did you read these stories? I guess it may okay to read them just so it can soften the blow once/if it happens to me. I have all requirements met and a good GPA, but I am still unsure. :(

Hey all. I think i have a problem. I talked to this CSU Mentor guy, cause I couldn't apply as a Sophomore Transfer. He told me to apply as a Junior, as I might have been able to use by IB Diploma credits towards my 60 credits requirement. But then I miss out on Sophomore year, cause I will finish Freshman Spring semester.

kummi90, SDSU does not allow lower division transfers so you have to apply as a Jr. They automatically disqualify transfers who won't have 60 units finished by spring regardless of GPA. If you don't want to miss out on the experience why not just apply next year?

I know SDSU does early notification in December, does anyone know if that is only for in-state students? I don't want to stress about not getting accepted when I cant even yet.

Congrats you guys! I have to submit a supplemental app. after my Fall grades are posted as a transfer so I still have a little while until I find out.
