Don’t feel that way! So sorry again that you were declined but I’m sure you have or will be accepted to other great schools! Was SDSU ur first choice?

Did they email you telling you to check the portal or did u just decide to check it? @asnappyotter

SDSU was what I thought a more likelier and really nice college it was like number 2 on my list. For me I checked the portal? Why do you ask ? O_o…

I didn’t know SDSU had direct-admit nursing. I thought it was all 2+2. How is it determined if you are direct-admit or 2+2? Was there a difference in the application process?

It is direct as long as you are accepted as a freshman and complete the pre reqs to their satisfactory. There is no need for another application and I feel it’s a recent change. I know it because I was confused on their nursing page and the president or whatever told me this. The other way would require another app and such but I’m pretty sure SDSU is just as long as you complete pre reqs and not fail you are automatically transitioned.

@asnappyotter Okay, thank you. I checked their nursing website, but unfortunately it doesn’t give much information and their FAQ is unavailable.

I also got denied

Pre-nursing not given the option to wait list (I don’t think). Where does it give the option to be put on the wait list? Congrats to everyone who was accepted!

Just checked my portal and I was denied for pre-nursing major.

Major: Hopsitality/Hotel Management

For those pre nursing students out there, in case you didn’t know, ASU has a similar program offering to SDSU in that they do a direct admit of Freshman. As long as you maintain a 3.5 GPA, you are guaranteed into the upper level nursing program classes. That was my daughter’s second choice after SDSU. I think it is a little easier to get into than SDSU as a freshman. All other schools we researched were 2+2 with the application into the nursing program.

Daughter denied.
