@Gumbymom Thanks for your response. If all goes as planned, I will have passed 5 AP tests by the end of my high school career. I’ve been accepted to all my backup schools- Sac State, ASU and University of Utah. I’m waiting on UCD, UCI and Cal poly. Has your son received any academic scholarships from SDSU?

Portal shows: still pending…as of 2/20/15, Does anybody know the significance of the “Admissions status date”?
Not sure what to make (if anything) of the 2/20/15 status date.
My portal says its pending as of November 15, 2014 which is the day I submitted my application. Does this mean they haven’t even looked over my application? Therefore my chances are slim? I’m getting so nervous and I hate not knowing!

@Yoboi44 @Gumbymom Cal state schools do send out snail mail packages… at least when you are accepted. I got packages in the mail from SFSU and SJSU, although this was a week or two after I had already found out online through their respective web portals.
I was a transfer student though so it might be different for incoming freshmen.

Is it worth it to appeal or is it just more wasted hope? This was my reach school and number one school I wanted to attend.
PS. Part of the reason for low grades was losing my Grandfather (first time ever experiencing loss in my life) which kinda put me into a depressive state which caused a huge grade drop my junior year.
Please let me know, I really would love to attend SDSU, this denial has crushed my dreams.
