CSU GPA was around 3.8 I believe. My SAT is low but I’m I’ve taken/ currently taken AP Calc AB/BC and Physics B/C and other advanced classes. I don’t understand why schools place so much emphasis on GPA and then test scores and then rigor. If so much emphasis is placed on GPA, why would I bother with advanced and honors classes? I would have taken my AP Math and Science classes and then taken just regular classes so I could get 4.0 unweighted. Just doesn’t make sense! But I’m happy I was accepted. Good luck to everyone else

Sorry for the rant lol

@Wishforcalpoly‌ , I’m not sure…it mentioned a 400.00 enrollment deposit, and keeping gpa up, no grades below a C.

Has anyone heard for nursing??

Can anyone comment on the problem with SDSU students are having graduating in 4 years? I’m interested in San Diego State but I will not attend if I’m going to spend 6 years at school. My major is Civil Engineering and if anyone could respond it’d be much appreciated!

I got admitted for nursing today. I had a weighted 4.1 gpa and 2180 sat

Got in!

Major: Spanish
1110 SAT
4.1 CSU GPA

@bball236: How many AP classes have you taken? SDSU is pretty generous with credit for AP classes as long as you have taken the exams and have gotten 3 or above. My Freshman son got credit for 5 classes and for the past 2 semesters has not had a problem getting any required classes. If he continues on his MAP schedule, he will finish in 3 1/2 years instead of 4 for a CS major. Freshman are given priority for registration the first 2 semesters and then it is based on unit credit. My son went in with 38 credits already and is at Sophomore standing 2nd semester. His roommate is a ME major and so far has not had problems getting classes and came in with many AP credits. Since both are only into their 2nd semester, it is hard to tell but if you keep to the MAP for your major, you should graduate in 4 years. What other schools have you been accepted?? For many schools, 5 year is the average graduation rate for Engineering majors.

Has anyone been denied?

Has anyone head back with nursing as major? And if you did, what were your stats?

I made a mistake on my coursename and I emailed the SDSU admissions a couple months ago and informed them, am I in the clear?
