Amsunshine- was the scholarship information contained in the acceptance letter?
@Taraskye @sammy147519: Nursing decisions are usually in March and they do not accept Nursing applicants with the December admits.
@Taraskye: Cal states do not consider Senior grades for admission purposes, only to maintain the provisional admission and ending Senior year strong is expected.
Best of luck to both.
My acceptance said that was well. Hopefully some sort of scholarships lol, I don’t know though.
My daughter’s had that too. Hmm…scholarship? Honors college?
The letter was from the office that administers the Merit Scholarship program. The scholarship is only for local San Diego area students who meet certain criteria. In past years, the standards were 4.0 gpa minimum and 1450 SAT. Now, with the test blind policy, I’m not sure how they choose.
Accepted yesterday via email. Does anyone know what they are referring to when they mention they will be sending a surprise soon?
Out of state acceptance
Admitted 12/18
NorCal (Bay Area, In-state)
Major: Biochemistry
CSU GPA: 4.3
35 ACT
Are you all getting notified via email or letter in the mail? Still waiting for my daughter’s notification so wondering
ayeeeeee
Hey just a question, is the GPA your school gives you different than the GPA that was calculated on the Cal State Application when applying?
Is your GPA that your school gives you, different from the GPA calculated by the CSU Application?
my school gpa is calculated out of 6.0, It was different than the CSU gpa.
Alright bc I was looking at the SDSU website and it says like if your reported gpa drops and like there’s any “discrepancy’s” on your transcripts, then the application may be withdrawn. I was worried bc my transcript says I have a 3.836 gpa but my CSU gpa says 3.91, so I thought they’d be like hmmm🤨. But nevermind I guess lol.

I received a congratulations email with the following message…Your official admission letter is available in the Message Center in your SDSU WebPortal account. If you have not activated your SDSU WebPortal account, please follow the steps on the I Have Applied web page to activate it. You need to activate your account before you can view your admission letter. You have a surprise coming your way, so make sure to check your email periodically in the next few weeks. Your official admission packet will be mailed to you soon.
Email to their personal account that they used to apply
They sent an email saying that I was admitted and in the email it stated that an official admission packet was going to be mailed soon.

I didn’t think acceptances came out until Feb/March and was shocked to see it so early. Excited to have it as an option and curious what the “surprise” is they mentioned that is coming soon…
As Gumbymom and others have/will point out, high stats out of state applicants (like yourself) are often accepted in December. They want you because you are impressive and they don’t hate the out-of-state tuition income either. Congrats!
Yes to the “surprise” in email but not sure “what” that is
Daughter admitted 12/18
