Sdsu expensive $400 intent?

HELLO EVERYONE I WAS ADMITTED TO SDSU FALL 2020 AS PRE PHILOSOPHY AND I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY THEIR INTENT TO ENROLL IS FREAKING $400. THAT IS REALLY EXPENSIVE, WHILE MOST COLLEGES ARE $150. IS THERE ANYWAY TO WAIVE IT?

$400 is not particularly high. My son’s private high school deposit was $1000.

The $400 gets applied to your tuition bill. It’s not an added expense.

You can ask them to waive it, but you’ll have to pay it in a few months anyway.

Well its expensive to me lady lol

You don’t have to comment on my thread to boast that you pay for your kids private school…

I don’t think they were trying to do anything but help you. I was going to respond to your question too, but I don’t think I’ll risk it.

The SIR amount for SDSU of $400 is higher than the $250 amount required for UC schools. As others have mentioned it’s not a fee and will be applied to the fall tuition amount. It is non-refundable for students who end up not enrolling.

Check with SDSU Admissions to see if you qualify for a waiver for SIR or orientation fee.

If your tuition and fees will be paid through scholarships or FA, they may waive it or let you pay the $150 you think is reasonable. If not, they’ll want you to pay the same $400 they expect from all their students.
