<p>Well, I finally found out… unfortunately, I got denied admission. I checked the portal today. 
My second and first choice schools are now out the window. Well, I guess there is still hope for my first choice since I got wait listed.</p>
<p>I got denied also. That was my #1 choice. So depressed.</p>
<p>I too was denied. luckily its my 3rd choice but still disheartening. I had 60 units all major work done complete igetc with a 3.85 as a geography major. I am unhappy.</p>
<p>To top it off I called admissions at about 3:20 to see why I was rejected, I was on hold for 40 minutes just in time for the office to close.</p>
<p>I was going to call admissions also and ask why, but I was on hold for so long.</p>
<p>@neneman54 3.85 GPA with IGETC??? ***? I don’t understand this process at all. There were people at the beginning of this thread with 3.2 GPA’s! The same for you @UCkat89… 3.4 isn’t that high, but it’s higher than 3.2. Maybe the personal essays? Wow. The 3.85 GPA really gets me; I don’t get that. If you find out why, post and tell us.</p>

<p>@eyespy I agree it makes no sense. I just reviewed my application and it looks like they counted my non-transferable class in the gpa. which lowered me to 3.79. And to be honest i do not remember doing a personal statement and their is not one or even a space for one on my application. so maybe that is why.</p>
<p>@neneman54 sorry I don’t think there is a personal statement on SDSU. That was UC. Dang I don’t know why you didn’t get in…</p>
<p>Ok well that is a relief. The only thing that makes even a little sense is either its just too impacted (doubt it) or there is some type of GPA discrepancy.</p>
<p>Oh well lets just hope UCLA and Berkeley know how to review my application.</p>
<p>Maybe for the IGETC folks you need speech. I’m still not sure how SDSU takes IGETC. I finished IGETC for UC’s then decided to add speech just in case for the CSU’s.</p>
<p>Plus it matters if you are a local applicant or not. Some majors are seriously impacted at SDSU.</p>
